Your journey begins  in Perth at Scottish Tourer Motorhome hire.  We are conveniently situated close to the Crieff road which takes you  to Oban.

OBAN

Oban is poplar stop when touring in a camper van or motorhome.  It has one of the biggest ferry ports maig the outlying islands accessible by ferry.  It takes approximately two and a half hours to drive in a campervan or motorhome from Scottish tourer in Perth.  There are a selection of campsites in the Oban area with the camping and caravanning site being the most popular for our customers due to the privilege card we provide with each campervan hire. This entitles you to discounts and entry into some members only sites.

Fort William

Fort william is known as the outdoor capital of the UK. Now if that wasn’t good enough reason to visit whilst visiting Scotland in your Motorhome then I don’t know what is!
Fort william has a range of activities so nobody will complain of being boerd, whether that be walking , climbing, white water rafting or quad biking.  There is plenty outdoor activites to choose from you can in Fort William, keeping everyone happy.  If that is too much you can always stay in your Motorhome and relax!

Arisaig

Leaving Fort William take the A830 to Malliag. This takes you through the village of glenfinnan. The viaduct may seem familiar, it features in the Harry Potter films. This is an ideal spot to stop in your Motorhome for a cup of coffee or a bit of lunch.
The village of Arisaig (the Safe Place) is centred on the sheltered shore of Loch nan Ceall, it spreads west along the Rhu road and north along the shore towards Morar. It is accessible wit your motorhome. Here the stunning views to the islands of Eigg, Rum and Skye begin and the beautiful sandy beaches that stretch along the old road towards Mallaig.

There are a selection of campsites available to stay in your campervan or motorhome, many have access to the white sandy beaches and are well catered for people touring Scotland in their motorhome.  A favourite of ours is sunnyside croft touring site.

Skye

There are ferries operated by Cal Mac three times a day Mon-Fri. Check the recent timetables for more accurate information. All our motorhomes can be carried by any Cal Mac Ferry
Skye is an island of contrasts. The jagged Cuillin ridge drops to the gentle white of a soft sand beach. Inlets, bays and islands create a complex pattern with the sea. Tiny villages and historic keeps are familiar, fascinating and steeped in history.
Again there are a selection of campsites on Skye that will be able to cater for those touring Scotland in a campervan or motorhome. The privilege card provided to you by Scottish Tourer ensures you get the discount on the camping and caravanning site on Skye.
