We hired a motorhome from Scottish tourer and had an amazing experience in Scotland! We were received by Dawn and Sabina, who were very nice, and showed us all the features of the motorhome. The vehicle was in very good conditions and very well equied for wild camping!! I have to thank all the staff for the good service. When I go back to Scotland I will have no second thoughts on hire from Scottish tourer again. Thank you.

We were very happy with the Scottish Tourers Lewis Motorhome four of us (friends, two couples) hired. It was spacious, clean and all ready to go when we arrived. Sabina was great - very welcoming and quick to do the paperwork and let us get on the road. The videos we were sent in advance were very helpful, as was the compendium in the van which had great hints. Also, even though we had GPS, the large road map was very useful, always good to follow the route on the map - GPS doesn’t always favour a large 7.4metre long van! On our return, Sabina was very responsive to the small amount of practical feedback about the van that we gave. We would definitely recommend this company.

We recently hired a motorhome from Scottish tourers for our first ever trip in a motorhome ( we are in our mid 70s). The whole process from booking to the handover was flawless.Dawn and her team were very helpful and put our minds at rest. The motorhome was spotless inside and out . We hired the Iona which was perfect for us.If we were to need a motorhome for another holiday in Scotland we would without doubt use them again .

We’ve just returned from two weeks holiday in Scotland with a Scottish Tourers motorhome. This is the second time we’ve used the company – their service is excellent from the initial enquiry through to making a booking and finally picking up the vehicle. Any questions I had were answered swiftly, and it’s an easy and straightforward process. We rented an Islay branded motorhome from them which was beautifully presented and extremely comfortable for a couple. It was well-equipped and had everything we needed whether we were wild camping or staying on designated sites. The company provide a wealth of information on suggested routes and itineraries, but we prefer to plan our own trips. We covered nearly 850 miles over the two weeks, and you become quite accustomed to driving a larger vehicle, although care is needed on some of the more challenging of Scottish roads. The automatic gearbox also helps! Everyone we dealt with in the company was professional, welcoming and helpful, and we would highly recommend Scottish Tourers if you’re thinking about a Scottish motorhome holiday.

We booked our Motorhome in January 2024 for our tour of the Outer Hebrides in September. I had enquired with many hire companies and chose Scottish Tourer as I just had a feeling they seemed the most professional. I was not disappointed. As things came to mind, during the run up to our tour, I asked questions and they were always answered immediately. Pick up and handover were perfect and whilst away Dawn or a member of the team was always available to answer any questions. They offered excellent support throughout, especially when my wife was hospitalised for a couple of days. I can not recommend Scottish tourer enough my wife and I hired a beautiful motorhome to complete the NC500 and what a fantastic time we had and it all started with scottish tourer. Scottish Tourer provided us a lovely and unforgettable experience. The service provided was excellent, very straightforward communication. During the pickup the Scottish Tourer team showed us everything we needed to know about the motorhome in order to have a smooth road trip,during our trip we had some questions and they were very prompt answering. We could see they are proud of their motorhomes and we did our best to deliver it back in the same good conditions they handled it to us. Can be quite challenging to drive a larger vehicle specially in very narrow roads like in Isle of Skye, that's why is so important you listen and follow their advices, this way you should be fine and safe (and get your deposit back) We rented the Iona, perfect for a couple, enough space, cozy and comfortable. We look forward to go back in Scotland and rent with Scottish Tourer again.

Just back from a 2 week hire of an Iona twin bed motorhome from Scottish Tourer. We chose the automatic version with twin beds, which has good storage under the beds, which was perfect for us. The booking process and handover was handled well and our deposit returned promptly at the end of the holiday. We paid extra for the supply of towels and bedlinen, which was all good quality. The Iona motorhome was easy to drive and not too big. We had a brilliant time, with good weather most of the time, staying on pre-booked sites. If you are looking to hire a motorhome, then I can fully recommend Scottish Tourer.

I highly recommend Scottish Tourer for hiring a motorhome in Scotland. This was our first time on this sort of vacation so we were out of our comfort zone, but the team at Scottish Tourer were great at providing useful info in advance and the vehicle itself was amazing. It felt easy to drive (even though I had never driven a large vehicle before) and everything was well explained so we could focus on exploring and having a fun family trip around the highlands and West Coast. Great friendly customer service throughout as well!

They provide you with an overview of wild camping spots that you can find via Google Maps via pins in different colors. Once we were on tour we didn't always understand those pins, and those pins also need an update. They were created in 2017 and in the meantime (7 years later) parking spaces have been changed. A few times we only saw on site that there was a sign saying 'no overnight parking' and we had to find a new camping spot. Sometimes this happened twice, so that we ended up having to choose 3 different places before we were sure we could spend the night there. These locations are sometimes half an hour apart, so you have to spend some time driving around. We told this afterwards to someone from Scottish Tourer when he took us to the station. We also drove to a campsite twice because it was already evening after searching in vain for those pin locations. But in general this is an extra service and you will visit beautiful overnight locations. We actually didn't need a WiFi device because we could use the WiFi of our subscription in Belgium without an additional charge (we should have checked this out in advance via Orange). You can request an additional WiFi device and pay a deposit for it. We could only use it 1 evening, on the 2nd evening a user login was requested, so we could not log in because we had only received the password. When we had questions about this, Scottish Tourer referred us to Tesco Mobile (where we had purchased a prepaid data card) and Tesco Mobile referred us to Scottish Tourer as the owner of the WiFi device. We then put that prepaid card in our own smartphone and used up the data via hotspot. The Islay camper was beautiful, clean, modern and fun to tour around. The bed is good to sleep in. We did not use the shower because the shower tap was small and therefore the entire bathroom cabin would get wet. The sink in the bathroom is a bit on the small side. We showered in campsites. We occasionally received an error message when we wanted to install hot water or gas, but these were easy to reset (once because one gas bottle was almost empty, the other times there was no explanation for the error message). In terms of household goods, there is a lot in the camper, but we were missing a few things such as a ladle (for scooping soup), an oven mitt, kitchen towels (for washing up), a dish cloth, a mop, a fly swatter, a toilet brush, gloves. (for the chemical toilet), salt and pepper, egg cups, detergent (for clothes), microwave-safe pots. Maybe useful tips for the people at Scottish Tourer. The reception is very friendly and we were able to leave our suitcases in the office so that we did not have to drag them into the camper and thus gain space. We were also unable to get TV reception via the extendable satellite dish, but that must be due to the range in Scotland because at one of the campsites where we were, the manager said that he had received many questions about the TV range in the last 14 days. that it didn't work for many. Maybe too many people present in August (high season), who knows? Now we had an iPad with us so we watched TV with it. We really enjoyed the tour and definitely recommend it. You will also receive sufficient information from Scottish Tourer about sights, points for taking and unloading water, emptying and cleaning the chemical toilet, filling up with gas, etc. We had a nice trip. Eens we op toer waren snapten we die pins niet altijd, ook zijn die pins aan een update toe. Ze zijn aangemaakt in 2017 en ondertussen (7 jaar later) zijn er parkeerplekken gewijzigd. Enkele keren zagen we pas ter plaatse dat er een bordje stond 'no overnight parking' en moesten we een nieuwe kampeerplaats uitzoeken. Soms gebeurde dit 2x, zodat we uiteindelijk 3 verschillende plekken moesten uitzoeken vooraleer we zeker wisten dat we daar de nacht konden doorbrengen. Die locaties liggen soms een half uur van elkaar verwijderd dus je bent even bezig met rondrijden dan. We hebben dit achteraf meegedeeld aan iemand van Scottish Tourer toen die ons naar het station voerde. Ook zijn we daardoor 2x naar een camping doorgereden omdat het al avond werd na het tevergeefs zoeken van die pinlocaties. Maar over het algemeen is dit wel een extra service en kom je op mooie overnachtingslocaties. Een wifi apparaat moesten we eigenlijk niet nodig gehad hebben want we konden de wifi van ons abonnement in België gebruiken zonder meerprijs (we hadden dit beter op voorhand uitgezocht via Orange). Het wifi apparaat kan je extra bijvragen en daar betaal je dan een waarborg voor. We konden die slechts 1 avond gebruiken, de 2de avond werd een user login gevraagd waardoor we niet konden inloggen want we hadden enkel het paswoord doorgekregen. Bij vragen daarover stuurde Scottish Tourer ons door naar Tesco Mobile (waar we een prepaid datakaartje gekocht hadden) en Tesco Mobile stuurde ons door naar Scottish Tourer als eigenaar van het wifi apparaat. We hebben dat prepaid kaartje dan maar in onze eigen smartphone gestopt en zo de data opgebruikt via hotspot. De kampeerwagen Islay was mooi, proper, modern en leuk om mee rond te toeren. Het bed is goed om in te slapen. De douche hebben we niet gebruikt omdat de douchekraan klein was en daardoor ook gans de badkamercabine nat zou worden. De lavabo in de badkamer is wat aan de kleine kant. We hebben gedouched in campings. We kregen af en toe een foutmelding als we warm water of gas wilden aanleggen maar deze zijn makkelijk te resetten (1x omdat de ene gasfles bijna leeg was, de overige keren was er geen verklaring voor de foutmelding). Qua huisraad is er veel aanwezig in de kampeerwagen maar we misten toch enkele zaken zoals een pollepel (om soep te scheppen), een ovenwant, keukenhanddoeken (voor de vaat), een schotelvod, een dweil, een vliegenmepper, een wc-borstel, handschoenen (voor het chemisch toilet), peper en zout, eierdopjes, wasmiddel (voor kledij), microgolfbestendige potjes. Misschien handige tips voor de mensen van Scottish Tourer. De ontvangst is zeer vriendelijk en we konden onze koffers achterlaten in het kantoor zodat we ze niet moesten meesleuren in de kampeerwagen en daardoor plaats wonnen. De tv-ontvangst is ons ook niet gelukt via de uitschuifbare schotelantenne, maar dat zal aan het bereik in Schotland liggen want op 1 van de campings waar we waren zei de uitbater dat hij de laatste 14 dagen veel vragen kreeg over het tv-bereik en dat het niet lukte voor velen. Misschien teveel volk aanwezig in augustus (hoogseizoen), wie weet? Nu we hadden een ipad mee dus daarmee hebben we dan tv gekeken. De rondrit is ons goed bevallen en zeker een aanrader. Je krijgt ook voldoende info van Scottish Tourer ivm bezienswaardigheden, punten om water te nemen en lossen en chemisch toilet te legen en reinigen, gas te tanken, enz... We hebben een leuke reis gehad.

We booked an eight day Campervan hire from Scottish Tourer via internet from NZ. Communication was always prompt and prices were competitive. The whole hire went seamlessly from being picked up and dropped off from the Perth railway station. Brilliant company! We had our motorhome cancelled with just a weeks notice and were scrambling around to fine a new van, luckily there had been a cancellation with Scottish Tourer and the team couldn't have been more helpful from start to finish. We hired a brand new Barra which for two adults a teenager and tweenager was perfect. Everything was immaculate and was such a comfortable drive. When I wasn't sure about a light showing in the van on a Sunday night Dawn talked me through it on WhatsApp and reassured it was just a change in the way the motorhome was being powered. Collection and drop off really slick and received our deposit within days. Would HIGHLY recommend this company and look forward to more motorhome adventures in the future.

We had a great time touring the Outer Hebrides and west coast of Scotland in a very new and comfortable motorhome from Scottish Tourers. The van itself was very well presented with quality towels and linen provided. The booking process, additional requirements and information were first class. The handover was thorough as was the return process as is only to be expected when hiring a large and expensive vehicle.

We had an amazing 7-day adventure exploring Scotland in the Iona motorhome. Scottish Tourer made everything easy with their great service and quick responses, especially for first-timers like us. The motorhome was fully equipped—just bring yourselves! They provided a Sat Nav, but we preferred using CarPlay. For first-timers, I’d recommend the automatic—it made the trip even better! We can’t wait to hire from them again for our next Scottish adventure!

I recently rented a Barra from Scottish Tourer to spend a week on the Scottish coast with my family. The Motorhome was very nice and the service from the team upon arrival and returning the vehicle was excellent! Incredible support and service. First time in a motorhome and we were a little nervous before we set off. The van was perfect. Not difficult to drive at all, even on some of the tiniest Scottish roads. We were in the Barra. Highly recommended, even for a first timer. Everything worked but it was great to know that Dawn and the team were available should anything go wrong. … if you are thinking about it, don’t hesitate.

Very satisfied with our hire of a motorhome through Scottish Tourer in Perth for our trip to the Outer Hebrides. We hired the Lewis, a new automatic motorhome. At 7.4m long quite large but as we were used to towing a caravan we appreciated that we needed to take our time and give ourselves extra space. No problems on the ferries. Van was cosy and kept the weather at bay. The windy isles certainly lived up to their name and we went prepared for all four seasons.

What an experience! We hired 2 x Barra and we really had the trip of a life time traveling the west coast of Scotland. The van was in perfect condition, they gave us a thorough induction. They even asked our plans for our travels and gave us really good tips of places to go which was super helpful to be honest. I will definitely be recommending you to everyone and I will be back. I may choose a smaller van for next time as the roads in Scotland are tight, but if you pay attention and take your time, it can be done. Thank you again

We hired the Islay motorhome to travel around the Western Isles / Outer Hebrides. The vehicle was comfortable and great to drive and perfect for the roads / ferries we travelled on during our adventure. The team at Scottish Tourer were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our only criticism is that the handover briefing felt extremely ‘rushed’ (compared to other hire firms we have used) and this led to some minor frustrations when we had ‘issues’ during the first couple of days on the road (there’s a lot of information to take in). We did refer back to YouTube video links provided but some of the information was out of date / wasn’t relevant to the vehicle we had hired. Apart from that - all good and would otherwise have been a 5* review! Would happily recommend this company to family and friends. Thank you.

We hired the Lewis for a 5 day trip around the west coast of Scotland. From the booking experience, pick up and drop off the motorhome the service was very professional and the whole experience memorable. We hired a Jura motorhome from Scottish Tourer and had planned to do the NC500 but changed plans and visited the Outer Hebrides. Our first experience of motorhomes and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We used a mix of campsites and wild camping, the campsites were to top up and empty tanks as necessary. We found some lovely places to wild camp - beside Luskentyre Beach and also beside Cliff Beach. We were spoilt by lovely sunshine in early May to make it a really special holiday.

We hired an Iona Tourer from Scottish Tourer in Perth for a tour of Loch Ness, Skye, and Western Scotland. Dawn at Scottish Tourer made the whole process of hiring and planning our trip easy and stress free. The Iona was perfect for the 2 of us and was super cosy in the evenings with the heating on. The Scottish Tourer Team were fantastic. We really relied on the good guidance the team sent us pre pick up; from instructional videos on how to operate the vehicle, to the google map showing laybys and car parks. Everything was so well thought out. As newbies we were a bit nervous about driving The Lewis, but honestly it was a breeze (even on the single tracks). 100% would recommend. It's the most amazing way to see Scotland from forests to mountains and everything in between.

This was the second consecutive year we have hired from Scottish Tourers and we will be returning to them next year. The motorhome we hired this time was a Skye and it suited all our needs for our trip around The Isle of Skye. Really had a great experience with this company. They were quick to respond to my multiple requests ahead of picking up the motorhome. They provided very detailed instructions and helpful info in getting us comfortable with the vehicle, lots of tips for getting around Scotland, and overall were extremely professional. We opted to take a train from Edinburgh to Perth just to rent from them, as their reviews far outshined those of other companies in Edinburgh. I would recommend anyone do the same. The motorhome was new, clean, and operated perfectly.

The best way to make your holiday in Scotland is camping with the Jura Motorhome from Scottish Tourer. Although our first flight got cancelled, Scottish Tourer helped us getting to Perth and even opened up for us on a normally closed day. The car offers everything you need, also for first time campers as we were, all information you could probably need, is either explained or provided in the car. We drove 1100 miles in 12 days without having any issues. We also managed to see the norther light, just outside the window of our motorhome. We actually were kinda sad returning our "home" after this amazing time. We would definitely recommend Scottish Tourer and also would book there again when coming to Scotland again.

My wife and I were on a tour of the Isle of Skye and mainland Scotland for 10 days in September, with the Iona 1. We must say we were, from the booking to the end of our tour as we handed the Motorhome back, absolultley impressed with the compitance of everyone at Scottish Tourer. We spent 1 from 10 nights with the Motorhome at a camp site the rest were spent wild camping, which is what Scottish Tourer specialise in. Only one negative: we were told at the hand over, that we are not allowed to use the Awning! We were told that, every year, from September non of the Motorhomes are allowed to use them! We found this strange that we were not told beforehand if this is the norm every year? It was a real shame, becauce the wheather was warm and sunny for most of our holiday in Scotland. Hired a motorhome from Scottish Tourer to explore the West Coast of Scotland. Really helpful staff, motorhome was modern and in good condition. Communication was great with any questions that we had answered quickly and access to an information video before the hire. Map of wild camping spots and suggestions from the staff regarding route choice was also good. Would happily recommend the company for anyone looking for a motorhome hire.

It was our first-time family holiday with a motorhome. Having small kids and massive vehicle sounds daunting in the first place. But Scottish Tourer company made it easy for us. Good briefing at the beginning of our trip, and they provided varieties of wild camping spots to choose from. Highly recommended the guides they provided. Motorhome was received in an impeccable state. Clean, spacious, and simple tools /accessories provided. However, the company might need to update their Google pushpins/ wild camping spots. Numbers of spots are no longer valid/ allowed for overnights. Thank you again, Scottish Tourer team. We would love to come back. And definitely will be choosing the company again.

We had wonderful two weeks in Scotland! The motorhome gave us the freedom to explore places at our own pace and stop where we wished to. The motorhome was new, well equipped, and clean. We have just returned from a 2 week holiday renting a Lewis motorhome from Scottish Tourer. Their motorhomes are all new and spotlessly clean. They come with everything you need, Sat-Nav dishes, pot, pans, even a barbecue. There is choice of layouts to suit everyone, bunks, fixed beds, single beds. The staff are all so helpful and friendly, from the handover to the return. You can store your car within their secure compound if you need to leave it. We would recommend Scottish Tourer to anyone from a first time motorhomer to a seasoned traveller. This is our third time renting with Scottish tourer and we will certainly rent with them again.

Superb new vans, well looked after and fitted out. A well run professional but friendly company. We will be back! A great way to explore the highlands and get close to nature.

Scottish Tourer were straightforward, and excellent communicators - clear and helpful from first to last. They provide laminated instructions, as well as super helpful online videos. Pleasant and professional throughout our dealings - and kind at the end in taking us to our bus! (And, no, I've not been paid...).

We cannot recommend this company highly enough. Even though I was a late booking they made the process easy. Collected us from the train station and dropped off again after the holiday. We had the Iona and it was a fantastic van. It was a perfect size does the two of us and had everything in it that you could possibly need and at no extra charge unlike other companies. The price was very good as well and the pick up and drop off were straight forward The staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. This is probably helped by being a family business. You’re not just another customer to them and that’s how they make you feel. Will be booking up again in the future for sure. Many thanks. Fantastic holiday. Scottish Tourer are a great bunch and made everything easy. Very well equipped van. I hired an automatic which turned out to be a boon as made the driving easier, especially on the narrow roads in the highlands. We would definitely use them again.

My husband and I hired our van from this company to do the NC500. It is I believe a family run business and you can tell, as everyone was so committed to your holiday being great. Dawn saw to our pre departure she was amazing. The van had everything we needed. Including a decent size fridge and oven. The pre departure video was so helpful as was the “ how to manual” in the van. We had an occasion to call and ask a question, the call was answered straight away. The NC500 is fantastic so many beautiful sights, whether you’re wild camping or on caravan sites. I can highly recommend this company. They even made the sun shine for us!

Had a really nice week exploring The Highlands in the Iona Motorhome. The perfect way to get around and see as much of the scenery in a short time! The team at Scottish Tourer were extremely helpful and provided plenty of useful information on places to explore along the routes. The provided Sat Nav with Wild Camping spots pre-programmed in was particularly useful! Covered around 800 miles during the week, and all miles covered were very comfortable, automatic gearbox handled the hills well, and we around 35mpg if memory serves, so very economical for the size! The Motorhome was well equipped with everything we needed, BBQ, camping chairs and table (in case it’s nice weather out), utensils, crockery etc. Thanks again!

We hired a Jura campervan from Scottish Tourer in May 2023 to do the NC500. The booking and payment process worked very well and Corinne was very responsive with my questions. This was the first campervan we have hired. The van was almost new with 3,800 miles on the clock and in excellent condition. We were very impressed with the facilities that were squeezed into the small space. OK, it was tight, but for what we had in such a small space it was a triumph of design. The van drove very well with no issues. Overall we were extremely impressed from start to finish.

We have just returned from a fabulous week in the beautiful West Coast of Scotland. Scottish Tourer were amazing and the Iona Motorhome which was our home for the week was perfect. The route they suggested exceeded our expectations and we have just booked to go back again in July to see more.

There motorhomes are excellent and extremely well appointed and inclusive of costs with only fuel and the use of gas to be paid for which is expected. Spent a week in stunning Scotland just before Easter with my father. We hired the Jura for the duration which was ideal for our needs. We were collected from the airport as arranged and within a couple of hours we were on our way to a fantastic look around the beautiful Scottish scenery. We cannot recommend Scottish tourer highly enough. Not only were they incredibly friendly, they were extremely helpful. I don’t usually write reviews but I have to share my distressing experience about this company. I booked a motorhome for a week for June 3 months ago along with airport transfer from GLA airport and drop off at Edinburgh airport. A few days ago, I realised that GLA would be more optimal in terms of flight out of the UK. I sent an email to the company to try to get it changed and they outright refused it. I expressed my ‘disappointment’ and was surprised at their lack of flexibility so far away from the rental. I was then explained that they are fully booked and they have limited transfer resources which I accepted. At the same time, I was labelled a ‘disgruntled customer’ and was suggested that I go elsewhere. With arrangements already made, I was not in the position to do that so I said I would continue with the booking (contract already signed and deposit paid). 3 days later, another person sends me an email saying that my booking is cancelled due to ‘supply chain shortages’ and the vehicle not arriving on time. Note that I had previously asked for a registration number to book ferries, camp sites, etc which I was provided with. So, there was a specific vehicle assigned to me. When I challenged this person on this, I got vague replies that they would just give out registration number and this could be changed later, no vehicle had been assigned to me. I was also accused of jumping to the wrong conclusion when connecting the dots of my ‘complaint’ and them cancelling my booking. While their reason to cancel my booking is not impossible, given the peculiar timing (3 days between being suggested that I move my booking somewhere else and actually them cancelling my booking), it is improbable. I chose this company based on good reviews but I had a very humiliating experience with them so I cannot recommend them.

Brilliant service from my first enquiry to the day I handed the Motorhome back. With it being my first time hiring a motorhome we had quite a few questions about different things, the guys at Scottish Tourer were only to happy to answer them without fuss. We hired the IONA for seven nights, a lovely wee motorhome and just under 6 meters in length...ideal for keeping the Calmac ferry price to the same as taking a car on board. The van itself was just about brand new and well equipped with everything you need for wild camping as well as camper site use. Can't thank the staff enough for making it such a pleasant experience and look forward to hiring with them again in the future.

Our first use of a motorhome with our young family (3,5 and 8) and pleased to say we've returned home tired but full of great memories. Scottish Tourer provided excellent communication in advance of collecting the motorhome and were on hand with issues if we needed them. The guidance video and documentations were all really good (as was a youtube video I found when I needed it) and the team friendly. The fleet appears all nearly new and in good condition as Scottish Tourers give plenty of advice in protecting them (and your damage deposit). After getting to grips with things like the chemical toilet, the heating/water and the bed building (not many people seem to use more than the fixed bed and overhead bed so converting the table is a bit of an art form) we seemed to get into a good rhythm and clocked up about an hour's drive between each site for the week we had the hire (we used fixed sites more than the wild sites largely due to the kids). Scotland itself has loads of caravan sites (worth booking in advance where possible) but Scottish Tourer also provide a useful map with where you can wild camp with relative ease. We didn't really have any issues getting a site during the week (first week before Easter weekend) and were able to park at most of the touristy sites without any real issues. I think we were lucky with the weather for the week which always helps but I'd be more than happy to return to Perth to pick up a motorhome when we decide to return.

We were a family of four who hired the Lewis for a week to tour around the West Coast. From the initial contact with Dawn, through booking, hiring and returning the motorhome, Dawn and her team were outstanding. We experienced a high level of customer service. As this is a family run and owned business, we received the impression that they all cared about us having a wonderful holiday. The motorhome was of a very high standard, everything we needed. We chose not to wildcamp, and used campsites for each night which suited our needs, however the motorhome is set up to be used for wild camping with all the comforts you may need. We had an issue with a fixture breaking while we had the motorhome- this was dealt with very professionally. If we return to Scotland in the future, we will have no hesitation in renting from Scottish Tourer again.

We were so pleased to be back on the road with Scottish Tourer again, (our 4th). We hired the Islay for a week trip to Orkney stopping 2 nights on route and on our return with 3 nights on Orkney . The Islay was a pleasure to drive being automatic so the 600 miles were very comfortable. The service provided by your team and the motorhome are second to none. Thanks to Gordon, Corinne and Dawn hope you enjoy your own road trips and looking forward to seeing you again next year for another adventure.

This was our second rental through Scottish Tourers and once again the motor home (this time a “Skye”) was in top condition. The interior was comfortable, and not showing any signs of wear and tear. Having an automatic transmission was an unexpected bonus and made the driving just that bit easier. We were welcomed on arrival and the briefing by Dawn was helpful and done in a very friendly way; equally on our return with the de-brief, and our damage deposit was refunded promptly on the next working day. Being late September the weather was mixed, but the van was warm without heating even with external daytime temperatures of 14-15°C. With lower overnight temperatures (c.5°) we did use the heating to take the chill of the air a couple of mornings, but less than half an hour and the van was cosy for washing and breakfast. Happy to recommend the team at Scottish Tourer, and the product they offer, and all being well we’ll be renting again.

Amazing great company second time for us would recommend using them. You can wild park or alternatively book camp site it’s up to the individual. This time we went to Isle of Skye as we missed this last year and I wanted to make sure I got here. Beautiful we stayed on a Portree camp site very clean facilities even though the R.V does have everything you need. Portree a lovely little village great fish and chips by the harbour where you can get a boat to seal watch. A must on the Isle is a visit to the Fairy Pools. We did see other tourist attractions but will leave that for you to find and see. We then went across the bridge back onto the main land to Glen Nevis.We booked the Jacobite train from Fort William, brilliant steam train crossing over the Harry Potter Viaduct. So much to see and from the comfort of the train.

From the first email contact when they replied promptly with all the information I needed to the friendly pick up, detailed information about the motorhome, the beautiful near new immaculate motorhome, driving instructions information about attractions and routes we could follow. After many bad experiences with car rental companies, we were glad to have found an exception here. The whole team is very friendly and takes great care of the customers. The motorhomes are in mint condition and well-equipped. You get a lot of tips and extensive information which significantly improve the travel experience. The handover and transport to the airport worked perfectly. We would rent a motorhome here again at any time and can recommend Scottish Tourer without reservation. As a suggestion for improvement, it would be good if the deposit and payment could be handled via credit card.

When compared to other hire companies all these added extras come at a cost. The motorhome itself was comfortable and spacious - we had the Harris which had a bunk bed style setup at the back and an overhead double bed. it was perfect for me and my two teenage boys on our trip to the Isle of Skye and Mull. The living area was generous with a table that could easily seat 4, we made several meals in the motorhome using the full-size cooker, and there was a microwave and a good-sized fridge with a freezer. Storage was important as you wanted to tuck away all our personal belongings to ensure the home was kept free of clutter and this wasn't a problem, there was plenty for our needs including under the seats and even the bed. The beds were very comfortable and offered an excellent night’s sleep, no complaints from anyone on the trip. The bathroom was great, for what we needed it for, as we mainly booked into campsites and used their own shower and toilet facilities, but if you did wild camp it would be more than adequate to clean yourself up. For me, not having to worry about your transport or accommodation when traveling is key and this ticked all the right boxes, from start to finish the team at Scottish Tourer were very accommodating and knowledgeable. This combined with the fully loaded motorhome, packed full of everything you would ever need and all at a reasonable cost was just fantastic. I would highly recommend Scottish Tourer to anyone looking to explore Scotland, it's a family-run business with a passion for motorhomes and that shows in what they do. We found our experience with Scottish Tourers from start to finish extremely helpful. There was great advice and information from Dawn and Corinne to help us plan the trip around Scotland. The campervan was perfect for our needs. It was really comfortable and both my wife and I found it easy to drive (both in the narrow single track roads and also in towns). We have two tall teenage boys and we all thoroughly enjoyed the 12 days we were on the road. As a family business, who use the campervans for their own holidays, Scottish Tourers had thought of all the small items you would need and the table and chairs meant that we could sit out when the weather was sunny. Everything considered, Scottish Tourers allowed our holiday to be a really enjoyable family holiday and we would recommend them to anyone looking to rent a campervan in Scotland.

This was the second time, that I rented a camper by Scottish Tourer. The experience was exactly the same as the first time: Excellent service and a extremely helpful staff. Congratulations, if I ever go back to Scotland too camp, I would definitely choose Scottish Tourer. I have one piece of advice: on your first day, don’t go too far. Really helpful and friendly staff who had thought of everything and were always happy to answer questions before and during our trip, great customer service. The team have put together a few suggested routes around Scotland, we took inspiration from this and had a great week enjoying spectacular views and staying in some great wild camping spots. Our motorhome was very high spec and comfortable, and most importantly for us it was kitted out for wild camping so no need to stick to campsites. Would recommend to anyone looking for a motorhome adventure, particularly anyone new to motorhome travel or travelling with younger kids.

We hadn't initially hired the Lewis, but due to the chip shortages affecting vehicle production globally we had to switch to this model. Scottish Tourer contacted us well in advance to advise of the issues and give us our options, they were very apologetic for problems that were completely out of their control. The pick up and drop off process is incredibly smooth and runs like a well oiled machine, ensuring we get all the information we need without taking a long time. Extra guides inside the van were really helpful as well (having never filled up LPG before it was great to have a step by step guide in the vehicle for that

We have just completed a week’s touring in one of Scottish Tourer’s motorhomes and can highly recommend them. The team were all really helpful and as first time motorhomers their advice and support was invaluable. Nothing was too much trouble and the motorhome itself was everything we could have wished for. We largely followed their west coast route which was fabulous - the drive around Applecross and then up through Skye was truly spectacular. We have just hired an Islay from Scottish Tourers - its our 4th time of hiring with them and we have always been very pleased with the service that has been offered. I know that it must have been a difficult couple of years for the company with all of the restrictions around covid. I'm sure too their supply chain has been impacted. Despite these challenges we felt that the team provided a first class service. If we don't buy our own van we will be back!

Very impressed with Scottish Tourer throughout the booking process and we thoroughy enjoyed our week in the motorhome and would recommend these guys to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Northern Scotland. One suggestion I would make is to perhaps update the route recommendations, wild camping spots etc, I appreciate these are a changing feature by their nature but there were several we followed that were no longer operating.

Booked ‘The Arran’ motorhome with Scottish Tourer for myself and my partner. The company were helpful from the outset. We were a last minute booking due to a cancellation and Corrine was very helpful, sending us lots of important and useful guides and videos - really useful for first-time motorhomers! Collection was easy and we were given a run down of everything we needed to know. Also given lots of assistance to mount our bikes. Just come back from a fantastic tour of the Outer Hebrides using a camper from Scottish Tourer. First time hiring, but Scottish Tourer helped us all the way. Great vans, great company, great people and great advice. What made a world of difference was their huge database of wild camp sites enabling us to stay in some wonderful and remote locations we would never have found ourselves. Totally recommended - if you are touring Scotland then use Scottish Tourer!

We have just returned from a great two week trip in a Scottish Tourer ‘Lewis’ motor home. It was a trip of two halves. Initially we spent the first 8 nights on the Moray coast in some spectacular locations, Ballater on the way there, Portsoy, Cullen, Findochty, and Lossiemoth and back to Perth via Granton on Spey. Just the two of us in the Lewis so there was plenty of space. The Motorhome was well equipped, easy to drive and we managed to avoid any knocks or scrapes. We had exceptional weather and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and the walking. Back in Perth, we picked up two grandkids and joined my daughter, her husband and our other two g’kids at Craigtoun in St Andrews for a less relaxing but fun filled few days before returning ‘Huey’ Lewis to The Scottish Tourer team. I cannot fault the Scottish Tourer team from initial booking, handover and handback, the whole process was very professional and well organised. This, added to a great Motorhome, made for a first class two week holiday.

If you want to hire a Motorhome from the Best of the Best then Scottish Tourer is the way to go. My first experience of a motorhome and on my own. Dawn and Gordon, the owners, could not have been more accommodating and all the staff were equally as warm and welcoming. The motorhome itself was immaculate and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. I was given all the time I needed to be shown how to get the best from the motorhome and therefore my holiday. A contact mobile number was provided giving me the confidence that I could call at any time and they would be ready to help. I was so impressed that information, regarding the use of the motorhome, was sent to me prior to my holiday thus I felt I knew my way around before I arrived. I had the most amazing holiday and when I returned the home to Dawn I knew I would be back again. It truly felt that I had made knew friends at Scottish Tourer. The Motorhome was very easy to drive once you were aware of the width. All the necessary household jobs. such as filling with water, emptying the toilet cassette, emptying the waste water was simple and easy to do, with very clear instructions given when taking possession of the motorhome and in a instruction manual kept in the cab. There is a sat nav set up with safe and quiet wild parking places and information such as nearest water point, petrol station etc. The one point I have not mention is cost. Having researched a number of companies before booking, I found Scottish Tourer to be very reasonable and the price given covered everything. Any extras you may want were perfectly clear. Some other companies gave a basic price and then added on for such things as Sat Nav, Wifi etc. Scottish Tourer were completely transparent with their prices. I cannot recommend them highly enough and cannot wait to return very soon.

We picked up our Islay motorhome early on the Saturday morning which was great as we missed the later rush. Motorhome was new and spotless inside, appreciated all the extras like table and chairs included meaning we didn't have to bring them. Headed up the west coast and over to Skye which was beautiful, we did have excellent weather that helped, especially in keeping midges at bay. Company excelled itself when I had to deal with a wonky gas gauge showing empty after 3 days, got immediate help on the phone and reassurance all was ok but also got a call later to say they had found another source of gas in Ulapool if I wanted to top up, that's going the extra mile ! Satnav with wild camping sites, fuel and gas stops a great help when you need to top up or just stop for a rest. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company and will definitely use them again in the future... Thanks !

First time motorhome trip .. if we do it again we will use Scottish Tourer, and recommend them to anybody planning motorhoming in Scotland! Great location at bottom of A9 .. left car and our cares behind us as we headed North! We hired the Tiree as wanted lots of space for the 2 of us, and it delivered. Relatively easy to drive, but long so you have to be careful when turning. Booking easy and all the info and induction were clear and concise. Dawn answered her phone on the 3 occasions we rang while away, and reassured us that no issues and to focus on enjoying the holiday.

This was our first time renting a motorhome & booking with Scottish Tourer was the best experience we could have hoped for. They answered all our initial enquiries thoroughly, sent us holiday planning guides in advance, transferred us to & from the train station & generally provided an amazing service. Great company to deal with. My wife and I have just returned from a two week tour of the Highlands. The vehicle (Islay model) was in excellent condition upon pick-up. The company is very 'Covid-aware' and we felt that the vehicle interior was sterilised prior to us picking it up. It was our first time using a motorhome. Everything was included in the price (i.e. Satnav preprogrammed with various points of interest including very useful 'Wild Camping' locations, folding chairs and tables for outdoors, barbecue and wheel chocks) . All members of staff we dealt with were really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble to them. The £700 deposit we left was refunded on the same day we dropped the vehicle back at the depot. We would have no hesitation using Scottish Tourers again.

Put simply we had a great holiday in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland thanks to Gordon, Corinne and Dawn. Their information and advice rooted in a love of what they do shone through. Every email and message from me, including had we turned on the gas properly, was responded to promptly and with great clarity. Great experience hiring a Barra from Scottish Tourer. Motorhome very clean and well equipped including chairs, table, bbq, levelling blocks etc. Good instructions on how to use everything and helpful suggestions on routes. Efficient pick up and drop off (although we were sad to return it at the end!).

We hired an automatic motorhome for 2 weeks and Scottish Tourer's made it so easy, it can be very difficult to compare different companies but with Scottish Tourer's everything is included no incidental costs the price you are quoted is the price you pay. I prefer to pay everything by credit card for extra protection but they don't take credit card and we sent the money by BACS, the damage waiver was returned the Monday after the vehicle had been returned the previous Saturday.

For a long time my wife has fancied trying a motorhome holiday so following some internet research and glowing reviews I decided to try and book a surprise holiday for my wife with “Scottish Tourer”. I can truly say that the whole experience from initial contact through booking, picking up the motorhome and eventually going on holiday Gordon, Corinne and Dawn were a pleasure to deal with. They are obviously a very experienced and customer driven team, their vans are immaculate and the amount of touring information they provide is an added bonus. The information about routes and wild camping sites was extremely helpful, we would have been lost without it. The motorhomes they provide are new every season, ours had 5000 miles on the clock and was immaculate, as new. On return the checkout took 15 minutes, was trouble free and we were given a gratis lift to Perth railway station. Our deposit was in our bank account the next day. We have just returned from a fabulous 2 week trip in a Lewis motor home. We spent 10 nights wild camping and 4 on campsites where we could use the facilities. We visited Skye and returned via the Cairngorms but took things very easy enjoying the scenery and the walking. The weather was unseasonably cold and wet but with a warm and dry motor home to return to we were in heaven. The Lewis is very comfortable particularly as there are only 2 of us. It is roomy and well equipped and easy to drive and we managed to avoid any knocks or scrapes. The kitchen part is well equipped and fully functional and the beds comfy. We couldn’t get any TV reception but that was not a big issue as were were active during the day and easy to sleep at night. This is our second time out in a Lewis and we were very happy with it.

Simply the most stunning scenery we have ever seen, at what turns out to be an amazing time of year to explore.  But coupled with this unforgettable trip was the fantastic MotorHOME  AND Customer service from Scottish Tourers. We hired their Islay motorhome for 1 week and being new to Motor homes, we apprehensively arrived in Perth to collect.  All our fears were eased with a very friendly, smooth , and COVID secure handover.  

Thoroughly recommend hiring a motor home from Scottish Tourer.  Corrine made the booking process easy and sent regular emails confirming payments and providing useful advance information about the vehicle. Having recently returned from three weeks touring in the Islay motorhome we wanted to thank everyone at Scottish Tourer for enabling us to have a truly memorable holiday.  The initial booking process was straight forward and the route suggestions provided on booking were invaluable in planning the holiday. Sending us the info (video and printed) about the set up of the motorhome prior to picking it up was a great idea as it meant we were already familiar with the various functions before we set off.  Everything worked perfectly. The heating was wonderfully quick and efficient which was invaluable in mid October.  The pre-programmed sat nav with wild camping spots was great (although sadly, due to Covid, several now had ‘No Overnight Camping’ signs prominently displayed). In our three weeks we covered most of the west coast from Ullapool to Lochgilphead as well as Skye and the Outer Hebrides (involving 5 separate ferry trips between islands). The Islay was great, we had no problems at all with anything, apart from the weather). The night at Duntulum on Skye when the motorhome was rocked violently for several hours in gale force winds is one we will never forget!  In summary – to anyone thinking of a Scottish motorhome holiday don’t look any further – Scottish Tourer is the best!

This was our first motorhome holiday and it won't be our last!  We regularly holiday in Scotland but it was fantastic to 'wild camp' in some beautiful remote spots.  The 'wild camping' database that you receive after booking that is also on the motorhome's satnav is a fabulous resource.The motorhome was new this season, very clean and everything worked perfectly.  We were nervous about driving one for the first time but Dawn gave us lots of reassurance and helpful advice on the phone prior to booking.  Karen's handover on collection was friendly, reassuring, efficient and very helpful as was Gordon's advice of a suitable spot to stay close by on our first night as we were tired after a long drive.  Very efficient administration including very prompt refund of damage deposit - would highly recommend Scottish Tourer.  

Three of us spent a week touring the Outer Hebrides in an Islay motorhome. We were a little apprehensive, as we were new to this sort of holiday - but it could not have gone better. The van had lots of oomph; manoeuvred well on the road, and we found it easy to manage the cooker/beds/loo etc. Scottish Tourer had programmed suitable sites for wild camping into the satnav, which allowed us to stay in some stunning settings, undisturbed. All in all, we were delighted - also with the friendly and efficient service at Scottish Motorhomes: we were able to take possession of the Islay, and return it at the end of our holiday, with minimum fuss or delay.  

Hi Having Just spent my first week in a Mobile Home on a vacation in the Highlands, I have to say that my long survey on who to go with , what company would have the most positive outlook in support, admin and most importantly what I felt was the most reliable source of transport,  Scottish Tourer was my end choice and I am pleased to say the right choice, a very professional company in all that they do at the depot and indeed whilst on the road. Their GPS system they supplied gave me all the information required with regards Wild sites, water supplies, toilets and gas all pinned clearly on the GPS, the vehicle, as with all their vehicle registered 2020 was well powered by a 2.7 engine for the mountain roads, extremely comfortable with all amenities including wi-fi on board.  Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the week and will be definitely back next year, great people, hard to find these days. We had an excellent week in the motor home and your service was fantastic and you obviously care about customer satisfaction. The communication prior to us collecting the van from you was great and the instructions emailed were a great help. I’m glad that we could return it unscathed. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to others and we even showed someone around the van who was interested in a motor home holiday while we were on Skye. Keep up the good work and stay safe.  I think the only things we thought people should know before setting off were; Pack plenty of tea towels to dampen the rattles from the back Note where the public showers are, Kyle and Carbost were excellent for a few quid Anticipate that the roads aren’t motorways and you’ll probably average about 30 mph so any distance will take a long time to get there  Can’t think of anything else, it was all good. 

As complete newbies to the whole experience of motorhoming my wife and I could not have chosen a better company to introduce us than Scottish Tourer. Dawn's introductions to the various functions of the motorhome and her non-patronising manner were extremely helpful. We met some folks on our travels who had hired from a  different company and we were able to explain some functions of their motorhome that hadn't been made clear to them. Made me feel like a proper seasoned traveller! The motorhome itself was presented to us in absolutely spotless condition, it was comfortable to drive and most importantly, comfortable to sleep in, having an island bed with a proper memory-foam mattress. Although the outside temperature was at times almost freezing, a quick blast of the heating soon had us cosy again. All in all, we felt valued and cared for as customers of Scottish Tourer and would not hesitate to recommend them, or indeed, hire from them again.

We had a Barra, which was immaculate and fairly spacious for the four of us (children 14 & 10). Dawn was so helpful, quick and efficient to reply, and we felt they really cared and wanted us to have a wonderful holiday! Instructions on how to use and operate everything in the van was really clear. The best thing was wild camping advice and route suggestions that they emailed to us ahead of the holiday - routes, with recommended eating places, camp sites and activity/attraction highlights etc - and sat nav/maps with tried and tested wild camping spots (marked with love hearts for their favourites!). They were always on call if we needed them. All of this made our holiday a great adventure with some wonderful places to stay. We will certainly book through Scottish Tourer again when we head back up to breathtaking Scotland! Big thank you from the Harrison family!

The best trip ever touring around the west coast of Scotland in a Scottish Tourer (ST) motorhome. ST were professional and helpful from booking and throughout. They give advice on best trips for the length of your rental and a really good route which we used as our guide for places to visit and stay. The wild camping was great, again they use a sat nav and programme all of these places in so you can see where they are on the route - it's an extra aid and really useful especially for motorhome and Scotland virgins like us! Would highly recommend if you are planning something like this, use ST. And the Scottish Highlands and the west coast (we also went onto Skye), are stunning, we are definitely returning. Thanks to Scottish Tourers our holiday in the West of Scotland & Skye was not only exciting, but left us with long standing happy memories. After meeting up with Gordon, Corinne & Dawn we had a full & through briefing of the motorhome we were taking out – as first timers, this was very useful & reassuring. Their attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction was demonstrated by the high quality specification of the vehicle both internally & externally. The vehicle was immaculate and exceptionally kitted out with the necessary equipment to ensure a worry free holiday. Details via a TomTom were provided to suggest routes, idyllic wild camping locations, camp sites, fuel stations, LPG and much more – plus mobile phone back up, in case of any query. This left us only to concentrate on getting the most from our time away – many thanks.

Detailed guidance on wild camping Scotland was particularly useful. The vehicle Tiree was practically new and ideal for a luxury couples break. All personnel especially Dawn were very helpful and always at hand for the duration of the trip. Would definitely use Scottish Tourer again.

We have just returned from the most amazing two week holiday in a Scottish Tourer Barra motorhome. We loved every minute of it! Gordon, Corrinne & Dawn provided us with superb customer service from the moment we booked. It was clear from the start that they put the customer at the heart of their business as they took no deposit due to the Covid situation. As it happened, the lockdown was still in place at the time of our original booking but ST offered us alternatives later in the summer as, fortunately for us, some of the Europeans cancelled due to Corona. We received excellent pre-holiday instructions, including a video of how to operate the boiler, water pump etc. This was also provided on a USB stick, already plugged into the TV, so that you could refer back to it if necessary. ST provided a GPS with stops for water, toilet disposal and wild camping. We wild camped 10 nights out of 14 and loved it! At one point I was a bit concerned that there might have been a problem with the water pump (there wasn't - it was just a small air block) and decided to play it safe and phone ST about it. They could not have been more helpful. The motorhome was spotlessly clean (and had been disinfected because of Covid) and, from our point of view, benefitted hugely from the company policy of not allowing pet owners or smokers - so no unpleasant smells! Thank you to ST for helping me to achieve a bucket list holiday (we did the Outer Hebrides - breath-takingly beautiful!).

Hired the Skye vehicle for a week and had a fabulous time. We wild camped the entire week and met some lovely people and really relaxed.  Motorhome was in excellent condition and the bedding and towels were good quality and took away the hassle of taking home too much laundry.

This was our first time hiring a motorhome. And I would highly recommend this company. The family team running this company are so helpful and friendly,  and they really do care about you,the customer . Nothing was too much trouble. There is a comprehensive demonstration at the pickup point, on how to use all the facilities in your motorhome,  so you drive away fully confident that your going to have a wonderful holiday. WOW Just returned from a one week holiday in a motor home from Scottish Tourer. (we hired the Barra) From the initial enquiry right to picking up the motor home everyone at Scottish Tourer we spoke to about the holiday were excellent and very informative. Having never even been inside a motor home we were a little unsure about how things worked but during the handover Dawn explained everything. We found it easy to drive. We did a whirlwind tour of the North and West Scotland seeing some amazing scenery and although the weather wasn’t great still had a good time. We would recommend Scottish Tourer to anyone. Thanks to the team for all their help.  

Hired the Lewis camper van for the week, and WOW it was great, the whole family loved it. My daughter loved it so much she was heartbroken to give it back. Great experience and would definitely do it again. Everybody at Scottish tourers were so helpful and accommodating and I can’t thank them enough. The camper van was really clean and the added extras ie (bbq, camping seats and table) made it so much easier. Look forward to doing it all again with Scottish Tourers.

We recently hired a motor home from Scottish Tourers which was ideal for our wee road trip. The vehicle was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The service from the staff impeccable. The addition of the sat nav giving wild camping areas was perfect. We had issues using it but that was down to our ignorance of technology (an age thing!). We would have no hesitation recommending Scottish Tourers to anyone.

From the moment we e-mailed until the pick-up we were absolutely delighted with all aspects. We even went along beforehand to choose the kind of motorhome most suitable, and Gordon, Corinne and Dawn could not be more helpful. We were given thorough instruction on operation of heating etc before we were let loose. We were comforted and at ease to know that all three were only a phone call away if we had any problems. We had a fantastic tour of the west coast and our Skye motorhome was more than comfortable, with everything we could possibly need, including a very informative satnav. We will be returning to take on another part of Scotland. Thank you all once again for a carefree holiday in one of you immaculate motorhomes.

Thank you very much for all your time yesterday, and to Dawn for taking us through everything we need to know for the van. A particular thank you for all the time she and you all spent preparing the van, cleaning, replacing fabrics and carpets etc. It is immaculate and will be a pleasure to live in. Our journey home was straightforward, if rather wet, and the van is now safely hooked up at a site near here.   I have let Richard know that if he has any further questions, you have offered to be at the end of a phone, but for the moment he’s going through the paperwork and understanding the technical things he needs to. I hope you have a good 2020 season, in spite of the obstacles being put in your way, and thanks again for everything.

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday touring the Higlands in a cosy Scottish Tourer motorhome. The Jura was compact and well equipped with everything we needed to suit the needs of the two of us.  The satnav helped us to find places off the beaten track and we spent several nights in remote locations surrounded by fabulous views.  The Jura was comfortable and easy to manoeuvre and park and the higher driving position enabled us to enjoy the stunning scenery to the max. We had a comprehensive handover by Dawn at the start and knew that she would be at the end of the phone should we need anything. Corinne made the return handover quick and easy and we were soon on our transfer back to the airport, courtesy of Scottish Tourers. Thank you for a great holiday, we would love to return again soon and maybe try out the Islay next time!  

We rented a Skye Motorhome for one week in September, it certainly was a great adventure. We were motorhome virgins and wanted to try something different from our usual flight and hotel holiday. We picked Scottish Tourers because we were impressed with the website describing luxurious spacious motorhomes of less than one year old, and ideal for couples. The contact and booking process was seamless and we were provided with lots of reassurance and useful information to prepare us for our trip.  We hadn’t actually stepped inside a motorhome until the day we picked up the Skye, but Gordon gave us a very thorough introduction and showed us how everything worked. The interior layout of the motorhome was vey well thought out, we were pleasantly surprised how comfortable the bed was, and how good and efficient the heating and hot water was. Even the toilet surpassed our expectations and we soon got into a rhythm of topping up fresh water, emptying grey waste and dealing with the toilet, but honestly it was all fine. What we really enjoyed was being on the road, the freedom of just going where you fancied with no firm route in mind. We loved the high seating position, the views and scenery in Scotland are just stunning.  It didn’t take long to get use to driving the motorhome, I struggled with correct gear selection for a couple of hours, but I’ve been driving automatic cars for many years. Thankfully we returned the motorhome with no scrapes or knocks, just be careful of your door mirrors and you will be fine. We stayed in a mix of campsites and wild camping, and our personal preference was for a campsite with mains electric hook-up and all the other facilities to hand. Having said that, the Skye is more than capable of standalone wild camping and we probably just need to be more confident on our next trip now we that know what we’re doing. A motorhome holiday has been on our bucket list for years, so we can tick that off now. We really had great fun and I can certainly recommend Scottish Tourers for the high spec motorhome and exceptional service, thank you.   

We had the most wonderful two week holiday in the Islay motorhome from Scottish Tourer. Corinne, Gordon, and Dawn were so helpful every step of the way, always quick to answer our questions and patient in explaining how everything worked. The Islay was well-equipped, clean, and supremely comfortable. We loved exploring the wild camping sites marked on the satnav, which took us to beautiful, remote places we never could have discovered on our own. Without hesitation, we would recommend Scottish Tourer, and would quite happily book another holiday with them again.  Thank you again. We absolutely loved our holiday and hope to see you again in future!   

Our week in the marvellous Skye motorhome was fantastic - it really did feel like a home from home. The Skye was so comfortable and versatile as we toured the west coast. The layout for our family of three worked really well as the space is organised so well. The condition of the Skye was immaculate and we loved the whole experience. We have been lucky to travel all over the world staying at some amazing hotels but we can honestly say this was one of the best holidays we have ever had. We loved it and can't wait to explore more of our beautiful part of the world. We will definitely use Scottish Tourer again but next time we will try out some wild camping. We can't recommend Scottish Tourer or this type of holiday highly enough. 

Myself and my wife and my friend and partner hired the Skye motorhome for a week..We travelled up the west coast had a great time visited many places..Scottishtourer motorhomes are outstanding quality spotless inside and out Gordon and Corine could not be anything but professional in there business and also very nice and helpful. We were shown round the motorhome every explained to us and were always on hand if ever needed..I cannot thank them enough for there professional and the information they gave us nothing better than travelling this great country of ours.In a brand new motorhome with all the extras my party had a great time and would not hesitate in recommending SCOTTISH TOURERS to any one thinking about motorhoming. Clean lots of extras in it well worth it I'll be definitely be going back to Scottish Toures for my next motorhome holiday once again thanks Gordon and Corine first class people and first class service and top motorhomes...  

Corinne, Dawn and Gordon gave great advice and support before and during our week’s holiday. The Bessacarr was very comfortable, easy to drive and a great base from which to go on long walks, bike rides and fishing trips. We found some beautiful places to stay (Ardfern and Loch Earn) and have taken away some great memories. It has inspired us to go motorhoming again. 5 star rating.

Stunning! would describe both the Fabulous Scottish scenery, and the Islay Motorhome from Scottish Tourer. The van was immaculate inside and out and was ideal to tour some of the UK's most iconic routes, in snow, rain, hail, and even a little sunshine! The advice from Gordon and Corinne when we collected the van was first class. we managed to wild-camp 4 out of 6 nights..... Many Thanks, making plans for next road trip already! 

From the informative communications about the booking and preparation of route planning though to the collection of the motorhome, every aspect of this company is excellent. Dawn and Gordon were both extremely helpful and knowledgeable giving us more confidence in our first taste of wild camping. The motorhome we rented was the Skye model. It was amazing! It was roomy, comfortable and very well equipped. There was lots of storage and the Sat Nav loaded with very detailed information was so valuable. We had a very enjoyable week and look forward to more motorhome touring.  

First time rental/driving a motorhome, took their advice on board about which road to start our travels until we got used to the size of the vehicle, and we were so glad we did, allowed us to get confidence and enjoy the experience from the start. Vehicle was superb, and although we had a lot to learn about water, waste etc the initial hand over gave us all the information we needed. We had planned our route, where we wanted to visit, which was well worth while. We loved every minute and can't thank the team at Scottish Tourers enough for their advice, support and service, can't recommend them enough. This has given us the bug.....

For our first motorhome trip we have just returned from a three week tour of the outer Hebrides. It was a holiday we had been planning for years but we were nervous about hiring a motorhome, we should not have been, from an initial email enquiry the customer service was very personal and efficient with a very helpful attention to detail regarding our route planning. The motorhome itself had everything and more, we wild camped in sheer comfort with the knowledge that we could phone the team anytime should we hit a problem. Thankyou for making our trip an adventure.

My dad and I rented a motorhome for 12 days. The motorhome was top notch, completely modern, and an absolute joy to travel in. ST's service was fantastic too. Everyone is very friendly, they have more recommendations than one could ever need, and one can call them whenever some questions or problems appear. They also charged us very reasonably for a scratch we caused during the trip. If we ever go on a similar trip again, we would definitely go with Scottish Tourer.

We have just returned home after a fantastic week away on our Scottish adventures covering just under 800 miles. We picked up the motorhome after a comprehensive walk around explaining all the features and how things worked by Dawn and off we went, the motorhome was immaculate and easy to drive despite being 8m long. We tried a few nights away wild camping and found some truly amazing places and felt like we had the place to ourselves. The motorhomes come complete with everything you will ever need for your trip including a fully loaded satnav showing you wild camping spots, campsites, water stops etc etc, The whole process from start to finish was very professional and the service from all the family was first class and any questions we had for them got answered very quickly. I would highly recommend Scottish Tourers for anyone looking to rent a motorhome and are already looking to return with them next year. A massive thank you to you all

Perfection. We rented a motorhome with Scottish Tourer in may for 10 days and I can say with no doubts that it was the best rental experience I ever had. No hidden fees, no problems, motorhomes in perfect conditions, very clean. They include in the price what for most of other rental companies is an extra charge (i.e. outdoor chairs and table); and a GPS with golden information for your trip (wild camping spots, tap water points etc.) Booking, pick up and drop off very easy; they don’t look for the little scratch to charge you extra money, they enjoyed to see their vehicle well treated, they want to make sure you live an amazing experience in their beautiful country. During the rental period they are always available by phone in case you have a doubt/problem. When I’ll go back to Scotland I will definitely rent with them again; It was a pleasure!!! My family and I can highly recommend Scottish Tourer as from the start of the booking process they were amazing. Able to help tailor make our holiday that was best suited to us. The wild camping was phenomenal and everything was loaded on the Tom Tom which made life so easy for us on the road. The campervans were in supreme condition, clean, new and beautiful! We were picked up from Edinburgh Airport to take us to the Perth depot. We were shown round our motorhome (Islay model) and provided succinct instructions on how to operate everything, including the emptying and refilling of the waste etc. An excellent handover. We roughly followed the west coast route provided by Scottish Tourer, adjusted for our 7 day trip. The Sat Nav was really good, including showing the location of wild camps. The equipment on the motorhome was excellent, like home from home. TV signal was a bit hit and miss but we were touring round and was glad to get away from the TV!

The second year running we’ve hired a motorhome from Scottish Tourer.  This time it was the “Skye” for a trip through the Highlands, the West Coast and Outer Hebrides – the Hopscotch ticket from CalMac Ferries together with the suggested routes and wild camping spots shown on the SatNav proved with the motorhome made this so easy and enjoyable.   Terrific scenery with some wonderful beaches and great roads. Again the service provided by Scottish Tourer was excellent.  We were collected from Edinburgh Airport, shown around the motorhome and were soon on our way.  Corrine even allowed us to take their shuttle bus to local supermarket for some shopping prior to departure – what service.  On return, a quick check over the vehicle by Dawn and we were taken back to the airport.  All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday with excellent service from the Scottish Tourer team - highly recommended.  We will be hiring from Scottish tourer again next year. We sailed from Gills Bay to St Margaret’s Hope with Pentland Ferries.  It was an hour’s crossing. Orkney is very well set up for motor homes.  Every wee harbour has a big long hose that you can top up with clean water.  Every beach has public toilets with an outside tap.  They were immaculately clean.  There are loads of places to park with stunning views and we did not use a campsite once.  No liquid gas though so need to be full before you go.   When we were there (first week in June) it was very, very cold and extremely windy so best to go prepared for all weathers.   It is a very beautiful island, hugely agricultural with plenty to do and see.  

Thank you to all at Scottish Tourer for their attention to detail and very good customer service. The motorhome was superb  was well equipped with everthing that  was required. I would have no hestitation in recommendingto anyone thinking of enjoying a luxury touring experience to contact Scottish Tourers whom I am certain will be only to able  to advise on what van to hire and if you are new to touring are able to provide excellent touring routes and and wild camping sites.

On our "bucket list" for some time, we decide to hire a motorhome from Scottish Tourer and explore the Outer Hebrides. The Islay 4-berth motorhome more than met our expectations.It was comfortable and adequate space for a retired couple. Fully equipped with all we needed,shower/wc,cooker, fridge, TV, wifi and specially programmed sat-nav by the company to identify campsites, etc. The Islay made a perfect home for our 10 day trip through some of the most stunning scenery we have ever experienced. It was easy to drive and although we were a little apprehensive at first, getting on and off island ferries was no problem at all.

We hired a motor home for our first visit to Scotland, the service was exceptional as was the motor home. The motor home was only a month old, as was all of the fleet (they change them every year), and was just the right specification for our holiday, everything we needed was provided as well as a detailed sat nav with camping spots and facilities pre-programmed. The handover at collection and drop off was very efficient with little fuss. We were provided with an appropriate level of instruction and were able to park our car in a secure garage so we knew it would be safe whilst we were on holiday. Scotland is a glorious country and we will visit again in one of these Motorhomes.

"For our first motorhome trip in Scotland with a 5 years old girl, we looked for several rental companies on Internet. If Scottish Tourer seems at first more expensive, note that their motorhomes are fully equipped: with other companies, you will have to add a GPS nav (you won't always have enough coverage to use your smartphone for that), outdoor chairs and table, a second driver, etc. So at the end there will be no differences. And their motorhome are brand new too ! They are well thought and designed, and we never felt cramped, even at three on rainy days. We really had a very great time in Scotland, and the smoothness of the hiring played a big part in it, from the first contacts by email (direct access to this very accessible family team) to the drop-off at the airport when we left. The team is very nice, their advice are really valuable, and the fact that they can be reach anytime during the trip is very reassuring. They supply freely a GPS that is fully loaded with wild camp spots, public toilets, water taps and so on, so you won't have to worry about when and where to stop. When needed, just select the nearest spot and go ! This is a must have, it really helped to enjoy our trip in total trust. We will recommand them without hesitation to anyone who wish to try the adventure, and we already know with whom we'll go the day we want to redo it.
