Its best to rent a motorhome before you buy

Rent a motorhome first if you have never been in a motorhome before or on a holiday in one we do recommend renting one first.  If you’re an experienced motorhomer we would recommend you rent the motorhome you are interested in purchasing  to provide you with the knowledge to make the right decision. Renting gives you an idea of what you like, what you would change, what you dislike.  You can look at the layout, what are essentials for you and what can be compromised.

What type of Motorhome?

If you have any essential items such as equipment for hobbies, childrens pushchairs or require to tow. Its always helpful to have a note of what you really require when looking.
Layout is key to have a smooth holiday. What is it you require? A fixed bed to save you putting away and pulling out each morning and night? Bunk beds for children? The ability to have separate areas at the front and rear of the motorhome? Please be aware that each motorhome has a different layout to suit different requirements. Please visit our website to view our current motorhomes and layouts to give you a better idea. https://www.scottishtourer.co.uk/motorhomes-for-sale

Be aware of length, weight and height of your motorhome

We want all our customers to be happy with their choice of motorhome.  Ensure for example that your entitled to drive the motorhome of your choice. Our Bessacarr model for example is over 3.5ton and if you passed your test after 1st January 1997 you will need to take an additional test. All our other models can be driven on a normal car licence. We encourage customers to be confident in what they have chosen and each motorhome is a different length, width and height, please bear this in mind. Especially if you are looking at lots of country driving with narrow roads.
