Outlander Trip in a Motorhome

Outlander was a hugely popular TV series and novel.  On your trip to Scotland why not explore our beautiful country while taking in the sites that inspired the TV series and the novel.  This trip will take you back in time with historic attractions and connect you with the Jacobite era. Learn some of our ancestral past and connect with the characters at film and novel locations.

Before you begin your motorhome holiday with Scottish Tourer why not start in Edinburgh the heart of our country.  This is where you will be able to engulf yourself in the political landscape that Claire lands in when she travels back to 1743.  Which is of course 2 years before the Jacobite Rising led by Bonnie Prince Charlie. Scottish Tourer is easily accessible from Edinburgh by train where we can if prearranged collect you from Perth train station.

Palace of Holyroodhouse is where you will find 3 key Outlander film locations. Look out for the great gallery where Bonnie prince Charlie held an extravagant ball.  The ‘darnley’ bed which can be located in the Queens bedchamber. It is here you will also find portraits of Bonnie Prince Charlie in the Royal dining room.
