  • Are they trading from a home address? 

At Scottish Tourer we have a large depot with the main office, workshop facilities, valeting bays and the outside we have a washing station and designated customer parking area.  

  • Have they got good reviews?

We have many platforms on which customers can leave a review, our website is kept up to date with reviews, Google and trip advisor are the main sources for leaving a review.  We currently have 109 Google reviews with a star rating of 4.9 – so please take the time to read a few and see what our customers have felt about their motorhome holiday experience with us 

  • What is the damage deposit amount?

We require £700 damage deposit UK customers (or £1000 non-UK) to be left with us when you come to collect the motorhome.

  • How long does to refund damage deposit?

If you have paid this by bank transfer please allow 72 hours for this to be refunded back to your account, if you have left the deposit with us in cash this will be returned to you in cash on safe return of the motorhome.

  • What is included in the hire cost?

Our motorhome package is all inclusive so no hidden extras, this includes a sat nav pre-programmed with wild camp spots, pic-nic tables and chairs, BBQ, toilet chemical, bike rack, awning to name but a few.  We do have the option to add extras on to the package such bedding, and towel set or bikes.  

  • Do you offer a damage waiver scheme?

We do not feel this offers good value for money, this can be expensive to buy and it only really reduces the damage deposit.

  • Is there somewhere to my park my car free of charge on site?

We have a designated customer parking area within our compound for customer cars, customers can leave one car with us free of charge, but it would be left at your own risk.

  • Are there any age restrictions on the insurance?

Our insurance covers drivers between the age of 25 years old and 75 years old, we can ask for special permission from the insurance company to insure older drivers if required.

  • Is there breakdown cover?

Yes, we provide full breakdown cover, plus we have a member of our own team on call after business hours in case of any emergencies.

  • Are there additional costs for insurance and extra drivers?

There are no additional costs for the insurance, we include one driver in the cost, a second driver can be added at an extra cost of £7 per day.
