Things to do in and around, Boat Of Garten in the Cairngorms

by Scottish Tourer October 06, 2022

Nestled in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park this peaceful little village has so much to offer our customers of Scottish Tourer. The village itself lies next to the magnificent River Spey and has some of the most outstanding scenery and natural beauty Scotland has to offer. Here there is wildlife a plenty, walking, cycling, trains, food stops, golfing and the newly built bike pump track which is a huge asset to the community and tells a lot about the community itself in that they all come together, finding yourself in a home from home.

What is there to see or do?

Here you can do lots of learning, exploring and sharing memories with those you travel with.

  • Woodland wheels pump track is a simply amazing community effort located in Boat of Garten. This really shows what a community can achieve It was built by the internationally renowned specialists Velosolutions. This is a great way to burn off energy, improve bike skills and make those important memories. There is so much to do for both adults and children alike so all ages can have a go at this. There are handy tips for techniques, flood lights and its super easy to find. We have found the best place to park is at the community centre and then it is a very short cycle to the track which is located in the middle of the woods. There are some lovely tracks to walk or cycle in through the woods also if you feel the track itself is to intense. There are lovely benches to sit on and handy hooks for bags jackets and helmets.
