1. The freedom to roam, in your home from home. You can absorb and embrace the beauty of Scotland up close and park up in one of the many wild camp spots or embrace some of the wonderful campsites if you prefer to have a base.
2. Go when you like, where you like, unlike if you have booked a hotel or a campsite with a fixed base. If you arrive somewhere and it isn’t quite what you expected or it’s to busy you can simply move on. Or if the weather is better at the other side of the country than you originally planned you can just change route and as your completely set up you don’t need to be tied to campsites if you don’t want to be.
3. We have a motorhome to suit almost every need, personality and taste. All of our motorhomes have a fully fitted kitchen, toilet, TV and the garage is equipped with all you will need. We have extras you can add on like a hairdryer, golf clubs and bicycles. Please book early if you need these in peak season as they are subject to availability.
4. Get back to basics, this is the thing we love most about motorhomes, you get to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and go back to basics. We honestly love nothing more than being somewhere with no phone signal and just living in the moment. You can really reconnect with those your with and enjoy your time in the outdoors. Many of the campsites and indeed wild camp spots are located in some of the beautiful places, they could boost those endorphins.
5. Cook fresh, simple food; there is something really special about shopping locally wherever you are and pitching up at a rural spot having a BBQ. We love a fresh cooked steak on the BBQ and a corn on the cob in foil with garlic butter. Sitting outside, with the views, good food and good company is something you really can't put a price on.
6. Your holiday doesn’t have to be expensive, it can really be what you make it, a day at the beach, a day walking in the hills, or exploring the woods costs nothing. Even if you have children, a treasure hunt while you walk, building sandcastles or going for a paddle costs nothing and makes memories that will last you a lifetime. I mean just look at the beach below you will find beaches like this all over Scotland.
7. Get those card games out, sitting inside or the outside with a glass of your favourite drink and enjoying time together. Whether its snap or poker there is a card game suitable for everyone to play and its a great time to learn a new one. We love a travel board game, and now there are so many and they are really compact some of our favourites are battleships, monopoly, the logo game or dobble!
8. See more of Scotland on your trip than you would ever have thought was possible in one holiday. This includes when your driving as your in control, we like stopping at points, you often find quaint little shops, cafes and restaurants in places you could never imagine. These are such an important part of Scotland and we really need to keep shopping local to preserve our local community. The seafood shack is honestly incredible, if you are near Ullapool take some time to visit.
